The Maryland Ruff Riders are hosting Pre-Turkey Jam: Round 3 youth basketball tournament Nov. 21-23. Total Concept Training is conducting player developmental clinics from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays at Holy Family Gym in Temple Hills. Basketball players sought

The National Youth Basketball Academy will hold tryouts for its U-13, 7th-grade boys' division from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Capital Sports Complex, located at 6417 Marlboro Pike in District Heights. Boys 13 and in the 7th grade cannot turn 14 before Sept. 1, 2009. Boys 14 and in the 7th grade cannot turn 15 before Sept. 1, 2009. Call coach Shawn Harmon at 301-775-3792.

The 2008 national champion D.C. Assault U-9 and U-10 travel basketball teams are seeking experienced players. Players may not turn 11 before Sept. 1, 2009 unless they are in the fourth grade.
